Hard luck to our senior hurlers who lost out in the Leinster final on Saturday to a very accomplished St. Kierans team. St. Peter’s started brightly and were in front for most of the first half before St. Kieran’s put in a strong finish to lead at half time by 5 points to 4. Kieran’s got the first score of the second half but then St. Peter’s regained the lead with a well taken goal. However, a couple of quick points followed by a goal turned the game in the Kilkenny boys favour and despite their best efforts, the lads in green and white could not get the scores they needed to bring them back in to it. The final score was 1-14 to 1-06. However, as Leinster finalists the college will now face opponents from Connaght in the all Ireland quarter final on March 14th. So we congratulate the team and their mentors on their efforts so far and we wish them well for the remainder of the campaign.
