Thanks to all who auditioned - it was a very hard decision at times. If you auditioned bit you are not on the list below please feel free to contact us in the Music Department. | Opera | ||
| One of the highlights of the year for many in St. Peter's College was the school Opera. After much debate about finances it was decided that the Wexford Opera House was to be the preferred venue – and in December the students from St. Peter’s and Loreto delighted their audiences for 3 nights with their production of Fiddler on the Roof. Under the Musical Direction of Mr. Fintan Cleary and Stage Direction by Ms. Nuala Murphy and Ms Catriona O’Brien the show was highly acclaimed. As a token of appreciation and admiration for what our young people achieved and the hours of rehearsals they put in the Vice-Principal presented “Tevye” also known as Nicholas Sheridan with a memento on behalf of the whole cast and crew at this years End of Year Mass in Bride St. Church on Wednesday 12th May 2010. Later during the ceremony "Tevye" treated everyone to a magnificent redition of the theme song "If I was a rich Man" - What a talent! | ||

Tevye: Nicholas Breen Golde: Lorraine Byrne Perchik: Peter Corboy Hodel: Ruth Murphy Motel: Ronan Finn Chava: Caoimhe Finn Tzeitel: Ciara O'Donnell Lazar Wolf: David Atkinson Fyedka: Killian Murphy Rabbi: James Cooney Mendel (Rabbi's Son): Chris Wallace Constable: Daniel Maguire Fruma-Sarah (Lazar's dead wife): Emily Mahon Yente (The Meddling Matchmaker): Gemma Carroll Other roles to be cast from Chorus/Cameo appearance include?: Mordcha (Inn-Keeper) , Avram (The book seller-Baritone), Sasha (Fyedka's friend), Shaindel (Motel's Mother), Nachum (The Beggar), Yussell (A Hatter), Grandma Tzeitel (Mezzo Soprano), A Russian -(High Tenor Voice). The Fiddler: A real/Live Violinist/Fiddler from one of the schools preferably!! (normally done by a violinist in orchestra and mimed on stage). |
