The golfing union of Ireland through its provincial branches organizes annual competitions for senior and junior students.
These competitions attract the best young golfers in Ireland. St. Peter's College has participated a little haphazardly over the years in these competitions but a more serious and dedicated approach in recent years has yielded great success.
A first Leinster title has been achieved but an All-Ireland title remains our goal.

| The Senior golf team have completed their fixtures in the Leinster Senior Matchplay League. The team of Mark Kavanagh, Shane Jenkins, Eoin O'Leary and Colin Byrne lost to Enniscorthy CBS in Enniscorthy Golf Club on Wednesday 26th October. | ||

| Leinster Senior Matchplay League. | ||
| The Senior golf squad have had three outings in the league so far. The team of Mark Kavanagh, Kevin Byrne, Eoin O'Leary and Colin Byrne lost to Good Counsel in Wexford Golf Club. Kevin Byrne, Eoin O'Leary, Colin Byrne and Shane Jenkins lost to Borris in Borris Golf Club but the quartet of Mark Kavanagh, Kevin Byrne, Shane Jenkins and Neamhan Rossiter beat FCJ Bunlocdy in Wexford. The final game will be against Enniscorthy CBS. | ||

| Leinster Junior Golf Strokeplay Competition. | ||
St Peter's was represented by Naomhan Rossiter, Matthew Homan and Robert Coakley in the Leinster Junior Golf Strokeplay qualifying competition held in Leinster Hills Golf Club, Carlow on Tuesday 11th October. The team played well in diffcult conditions but their overall score was not good enough to make progress through to the Leinster final stages. |

The team are due to play Enniscorthy CBS on Tuesday 20th October and Arklow CBS after the mid term break. | ||

| Hard luck to the Senior Golf team of Gary Collins, Ross Young, Eamonn Kelly, Mark Holohan, Rhys Clarke and Stuart Brennan who were narrowly defeated by Blackrock College in the Semi-finals of the Leinster Match Play. Their coach was Mr. John Furlong. | ||

| SOUTH LEINSTER SCHOOLS COMPETITION | ||
St. Peter's beat Arklow C.B.S. in Arklow on Thursday 15th October in the latest round of the South Leinster Schools Competition . The team now progress to play a 3 way play-off with Good Counsel and Colaiste Bhride to decide which of he three teams goes through to the Leinster Quarter Final. | SOUTH LEINSTER SCHOOLS COMPETITION | ||

The team of Gary Collins, Mark Holohan, Ross Young and Eamon Kelly (sub) will represent St. Peter's College in the qualifying round of the South Leinster Schools Competition on Tuesday 22nd September. The qualifying round which is a 3 man game,will be played in Castlecomer. Best of luck to the boys! Result: Once again our golfers played a stormer and won their qualifying match on 22nd September. This allows the team to progress to the Leinster quarter finals of the match play again this year. Well done to the team and their coach Mr. John Furlong!  |

| 4 Ball Golf Competition | ||

The team of Gary Collins, Mark Holohan, Ross Young and Eamon Kelly will represent St. Peter's College in a 4 ball competition on Friday 18th September. The game will be played at the Wexford Golf Club. Best of luck to the boys! RESULT: The St. Peter's College team beat Wexford C.B.S. to progress to the group stage which they will play on Wednesday 30th September against Carnew in Rosslare. Good luck to all involved |
