|
S.P.C. 0-08 Good Counsel 0-05 The match took place in cold but dry conditions at Tom Somers Park in Gusserane on Friday, resulting in a three-point win for St.Peter's over their old rivals Good Counsel College, New Ross. The teams were level on 0-5 each with 15 minutes remaining but the overall strength of St. Peter's was very evident as they dominated the final quarter. St. Peter's went from strength to strength and were worthy winners as Rhys Clarke, substitute Liam Rochford and Glen Murphy kicked over the winning points from play before the end. The cup was presented to the captain of the St. Peter's team Brendan Hughes by Shay Keevans. Rhys Clarke was presented the man of the match trophy also of St. Peter's College. |
